Elizabeth Joanna Mitchell (nee Robertson; born March 27 1970. Mitchell was able to move with her mother to Dallas, Texas in the year 1970. Her mother later got married Joseph Mitchell. Mitchell graduated from Booker T. Washington High School, a magnet public school for performing and visual arts. Mitchell is the oldest of three sisters with the others having names like Kristina Katherine Day Kate Mitchell and Kristina Kristie Mitchell, and Katherine Day Kate Mitchell. She graduated in 1991 from Stephens College with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in acting and continuing her studies at the British American Drama Academy.Mitchell worked for six years in Dallas Theater Center and a year in the Encore Theater.
