Annaleigh Amanda Ashford is an American actress singer and dancer. Her career began with Broadway career with musicals like Wicked, Legally Blonde, and Hair. For her role in You Can't Take It With You her role, she received the Tony Award as Best Featured actress in a Play. Ashford will return to Broadway and star opposite Josh Groban in the revival of Stephen Sondheim's Sweeney Todd at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre. Ashford was most recently seen as Paula Jones in the new Ryan Murphy FX series American Crime Story Impeachment based on the nation's crisis, which swept across the country. Paula Jones Monica Lewinsky and Linda Tripp as principal characters as the nation's first impeachment hearings in more than a century. She starred in two seasons of the popular CBS comedy B Positive. Created by Marco Pennette and Chuck Lorre the series also starred legendary actors Linda Lavin Hector Elizondo and Ben Vereen.No stranger to Broadway Ashford received the Tony Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle Awards for her performance as Essie In You Can't Take It with You. Some other Broadway appearances for Ashford are Sunday in the Park, with George Wicked legally Blonde, and her performance as Lauren in Kinky Boots. For this performance she received an Tony Award nomination. Ashford, who was raised in Denver, now spends time between Los Angeles & New York.
